You’ll need either a smartphone or a printed QR code to register your tent and scan your TentTrace user profile at the festival gates. This is how we link your user profile to your TentTrace smart tag.
Each event has its own fixed TentTrace pricing based on its waste‑management needs. Once these prices are set for an event, they do not increase. Factors include historical waste levels, the number of tents typically left behind, campsite size, and the resources required for recovery and recycling.
Starting at £4.99, the TentTrace fee is non‑refundable and activates the perks offered at that specific event.
Starting at £20, the clean‑up charge is refundable once your tent has been properly checked out of the event.
Prices are set using previous event history, and each event has its own fixed charges.
If your tent is not taken home by you — including any situation where it is not scanned out of the event — a clean‑up charge is applied. This covers all scenarios where the tent cannot be properly checked out, such as being abandoned, destroyed, severely damaged, removed without scanning, or if the TentTrace smart tag has been tampered with. The clean‑up fee supports recovery, sorting, responsible disposal, and recycling operations across the festival site.
Yes. Your TentTrace tag is weather‑resistant and reusable. Just re‑scan and reactivate it before your next festival.

You can reprint your QR code or access it through your TentTrace account on your phone. Gate staff can also assist with manual lookup if needed.
